Buying tile online requires a little proactive skepticism, but you should be fine as long as you keep two things in mind. 1.) Get sample first to verify that the product is the same quality as what it appears to be online. 2.) Be sure that you have the ability (and muscle) to accept a tile delivery to your home.
But do keep in mind: We have thousands of exciting ceramic, porcelain, stone, and glass tiles in our showroom which we can easily order and receive and, if you wish, beautifully install.
Every once in a while, somebody comes in and they show me something that they have seen on the internet. They'll often ask, "do you have something like this?"
Most often it is a type of tile. And yes, it is okay to order something online as long as you take a couple of precautions.
First, ask for a sample. Consider ordering a single box if you are going to order a larger quantity. That box will allow you to see the degree of variation in the product. Either way, you want to make sure you see what you want to buy (in real life!) before you put too much of your money out.
Second, if you are ordering a large quantity to your house, make sure you can actually get it off the truck and handle the shipment.
After that, you have done your due dilligence. We'd rather see you happy than try to make a sale of a product that we might not have in the showroom. That is part of the way we like to take care of our customers.
If you have any questions about buying a tile you found online (or if you need help selecting tile in our showroom), give us a call at 401-214-0285 or visit our showroom. We serve customers throughout Rhode Island and southeastern New England, including Newport, Middletown, Jamestown, Portsmouth, Bristol and more.
