Ken's Quick Answer:

Some customers tell us that carpet pads are almost as important as the carpet itself. We’re here to shatter that myth. Instead, focus on finding a quality carpet with a tight construction. It will be easy to find you the right pad to go with it.

Ken's In-Depth Answer:

Every once in a while, I'll have a client say something like, "I want a really good pad. In fact, I understand that the pad is actually almost as important as the carpet!"

I want to take the opportunity to shatter that myth.

The pad is not more important than the carpet. Nor, when it comes to durability, is the pad always critical to the performance of the carpet.

You want a carpet that is well constructed, tightly constructed and is made of a resilient fiber.

If you have that kind of a carpet, the pad doesn't matter as much as people might think. So no, the pad is NOT almost as important as the carpet. The pad is just the pad. Focus on getting a good carpet and we'll be able to find you the right pad to go underneath.

If you have any questions about carpet pads, we're happy to talk more. Give us a call at 401-214-0285 or visit our showroom. We serve customers throughout Rhode Island and southeastern New England, including Newport, Middletown, Jamestown, Portsmouth, Bristol and more.
